Katlyn Tillett is an accomplished Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in psychiatric evaluation and medication management across all age groups. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Old Dominion University, a Registered Nursing degree from the Riverside School of Professional Nursing, and a Master of Science degree specializing in Psychiatry and Mental Health Nursing from The Ohio State University.

 

Katlyn's clinical background spans private practice, child/adolescent acute and residential inpatient treatment, as well as primary care. In each setting, she has maintained a holistic, patient-centered approach, valuing collaboration with clients and their support systems as the cornerstone of her practice.

Her true passion lies in treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and behavioral concerns, particularly within the child, adolescent, and young adult population. Based in Suffolk, Virginia, she is dedicated to providing expert psychiatric care to her hometown community.

In her role as a PMHNP, Jenifer serves as an educator, advocate, and scientist, employing a therapy-centered approach. Ashley is a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor with a profound commitment to improving the lives of her patients. She specializes in working with adult individuals and couples. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and other Trauma-Informed interventions when working with her patients.

 

With a particular interest in treating women's issues and supporting individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, Ashley provides an affirming and safe space for all her patients. Her preferred patient population consists of individuals aged 18-45. Ashley's approach to therapy is rooted in empathy and compassion, as she believes in honoring each person's unique individuality and uncovering the 'why' behind what makes them uniquely them.

 

Ashley holds a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ashford University. Her extensive educational background, coupled with her commitment to patient-centered care, makes her a remarkable asset to our team.

Patricia is a distinguished Licensed Professional Counselor with a wealth of experience and a commitment to fostering mental health and well-being. Born and Raised in Central Virginia, Patricia's educational journey includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Psychology from Ferrum College, followed by a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She obtained her License in Professional Counseling in 2016.

With a broad spectrum of experience in diverse settings such as Outpatient, Residential, Crisis, and Community environments, Patricia has honed her skills working with Teens and Adults. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in an eclectic methodology, with a primary focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, enriched with a Trauma Focus.

Patricia is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive space for her clients. As an Ally for the LGBTQIA Community, she emphasizes the importance of meeting individuals where they are in life to support them in achieving their goals. Tabatha is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She holds a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.

Tabatha has experience working with all ages with various mental health concerns in individual, couple, family and group settings. She has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, working with families and children who exhibit high-risk behaviors, substance abuse, and University students. She has worked with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, ADHD, juvenile delinquency, gender/sexual identity, addiction, and disordered eating.

Tabatha uses an eclectic approach to counseling. Tabatha also has a background as a medic in the United States Coast Guard. She has always been passionate about helping others. She believes in feedback-informed treatment to understand the client’s needs and preferences and understands the importance of trustworthy therapeutic relationships.

Introducing Robert Cruz, a dedicated Resident in Counseling with a decade of experience in mental health. Robert's journey began by volunteering with LGBTQIA-affirming crisis hotlines in the Southeast and establishing safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals on college campuses. Over the years, he has worked in various mental health settings, including intensive outpatient, outpatient, residential, and crisis intervention, addressing a wide spectrum of conditions such as depression, anxiety, substance use disorder, eating disorders, and family and couple's therapy.

​

While Robert's focus has been primarily on serving the LGBTQIA and BIPOC communities, he finds joy and purpose in working with individuals from diverse cultures, faith backgrounds, and communities. His commitment to creating inclusive and affirming spaces translates into his therapeutic approach, where he prioritizes empathy, understanding, and cultural competence. Robert's multifaceted experience equips him with the skills to tailor his interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual or couple he works with.

As a Resident in Counseling, Robert embodies the roles of educator, advocate, and ally. He strives to empower his clients to navigate life's challenges and find healing and growth.
