Welcome to North Suffolk Psychiatry Scheduling
Thank you for entrusting us with your mental health care. To provide a seamless experience, we’ve organized our scheduling process into the guide below. Please review the details carefully before securing your appointment.
Scheduling Your Appointment
New Patients
Medication Management (Telehealth & In-Office)
-
All of our medication management providers now offer telehealth appointments for both new and returning patients, in addition to in-office visits.
-
While telehealth is widely available, certain situations may require an in-person evaluation. These may include changes in state or federal regulations, higher clinical complexity, or shifts in patient status that warrant closer assessment. If an in-office visit is recommended, our team will discuss this with you directly to ensure safe and appropriate care.
-
Appointments can be scheduled online or by calling our office.
Therapy Appointments:
-
Therapy visits are currently scheduled by phone. Please contact our office and we will be happy to assist you.
**Please Note: Patients of Patricia Hall, LPC, and Tenishia Santiago, PMHNP must contact the office to schedule appointments, as online scheduling is not available for these providers.
Follow-Up Appointments
-
Follow-up visits are available via telehealth or in-office, depending on your treatment plan and clinical needs.
-
We recommend scheduling follow-ups by phone for the greatest availability, as some appointment times may not appear in our online system.
How to Book
-
Select Your Date and Time: Please choose an appointment at least 48 business hours in advance to allow time for insurance verification and paperwork processing. New patient visits are scheduled for a full 60 minutes.
-
Appointment Confirmation: Your appointment is not finalized until confirmed by our office. You will receive a call, text, or email confirmation. Please ensure your contact information is current
-
Complete New Patient Paperwork: New patient forms must be completed at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. If paperwork is not received in time, we may need to reschedule your visit.
Preparing for Your Visit
-
In-Person Appointments:
Plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early to ensure all your information is received and completed before your appointment begins.
-
Telehealth Appointments:
Sign in 15 minutes early to your telehealth visit. Find a quiet, private space, set your device to “Do Not Disturb,” and ensure a strong connection. Video is required, and visits can not proceed if you’re not in a private location or are driving.
-
Respecting Everyone’s Time: We treat telehealth and in-office visits with the same level of professionalism as any medical appointment. While we strive to remain on schedule, occasional delays may occur to ensure each patient receives the time and attention they deserve. We appreciate your understanding.
Important Notes
-
Telehealth is available for both new and established medication management patients.
-
In-person visits may be required due to regulatory requirements, clinical complexity, or changes in patient status.
-
Patients of Patricia Hall, LPC, and Tenishia Santiago, PMHNP must contact the office directly to schedule appointments, as online scheduling is not available for these providers.
-
An active, up-to-date payment card must remain on file. If staff must contact you to update expired, invalid, or missing payment information, an administrative fee may be applied for additional staff time.
-
If your payment card is locked, it must be unlocked prior to 7:00 AM on the day of your scheduled telehealth appointment to allow copay processing. Locked cards requiring staff outreach or additional administrative time may incur the same administrative fee noted above.
-
Patients must be physically located in the state of Virginia at the time of their appointment unless your provider holds active licensure in the state where you are located. Some providers may also hold licensure in North Carolina and will inform you directly if applicable. Please do not assume eligibility for out-of-state visits without confirmation.
-
After-hours and Saturday appointments may be available based on provider preference. These appointments are not staffed. Office staff are not available outside regular business hours to assist with technical issues, payment concerns, or access problems. Patients are responsible for testing telehealth links in advance and ensuring payment methods are ready prior to the visit.
-
Please ensure your contact information remains current to avoid delays in scheduling or confirmation.
We look forward to providing you with thoughtful, structured, and professional psychiatric care.
